Japanese Immigration Centennial Park
Opened in 2008 to celebrate 100 years of Japanese immigration to Brazil, the park is a tribute to the contribution of Japanese immigrants to Mogi das Cruzes. With an area of 215,000 square meters, typical Japanese gardens, ornamental lakes, and a cultural pavilion that frequently hosts events and exhibitions. A space for coexistence and leisure, with an environment and architecture inspired by Japanese culture, such as the torii, a gate associated with Shinto temples, part of the culture.
The park also has sports courts, a walking track, trails, a playground, kiosks, restrooms and taps.
Note: Barbecue grills and alcoholic beverages are not permitted inside the park.
